This post is a message I sent David K my tribute guy friend from Minnesota. I now live in Arizona. I met a unique character, Tavo. I was fly fishing in Montana camped on BLM (bureau of land management) land. Tavo plays college gigs wearing a bald eagle costume head. Singing through the beak. traveling with his deaf dog and a guitar, he camps and books gigs nationwide in his old motorhome.

Good morning david. I sit along the banks of the Clark Canyon reserve above the headwaters of the Beaverhead River.

The views are stunning, the fly fishing is epic, Dillon Montana is 20 miles north.

You can stay here for 14 days free.

The reservoir is huge people come down here to swim and get out of the heat With their pets or their partners :-)

There is a university in Dillon so I’m sure there are venues there somewhere for acoustic artists worth a search

Not yours or my hang, but for Kollage, music original acoustic stuff, coffeehouse concert, would be worth shopping

I met at an artist two days ago who pulled in here in his motorhome with his dog. He’s been here five days. He has a gig in Bozeman in another 10 days, but he’s here for free for a couple weeks, relaxing with his dog before the gig.

I saw him leave his camper the other day and walk 10 minutes down to the reservoir Beach with a mic stand in his hand and a baggie.

He gets to the beach. I use my Nikon binoculars and he puts his phone on the MIke stand with tape.

Then… He pulls out of the bag, a 16 inch bald eagle feather mask helmet with the big orange beak. And starts doing some kind of podcast.

I shit you not, my mouth was hanging open.

So on his way back up, I yelled and called the bald eagle over to my campsite🙄😂.

.We talked for 30 minutes and then he came by yesterday for four hours with his dog who’s deaf and we talked about independent artistry..

He books all his shows coast-to-coast from his camper by himself, no agents.

Again here is an independent artist, living in a motorhome booking dates as he travels to the country. He just did West Coast., he’ll finish here and head to the East Coast and then Florida, and probably the south and back to Arizona California West Coast.

He plays for whatever he can get and tips.

So, there’s gotta be 100 artists just like him playing all original music eclecticly who could fit a notch in your concept. Unlikely any places we would or could play, but, for the quirky, college age folks perfect.

Oh, I forgot to mention, he plays his shows with the large freaking eagle feather helmet Beak costume on, singing through the Beek into a microphone. He carries no PA just a Guitar and a little Casio keyboard. Trusting each venue for a PA monitors or lights.

He’s a stud, single 37 and across between Keith Urban and Tom Cruise – I shit you not. Should be a movie star, but instead he wears a freaking eagle mask when he plays, and does all his marketing with the mask on to promote his gigs.

OK, I’m headed back out to God‘s country here with a bamboo fly rod and a good cigar;)
